For most automotive electronics, the technical requirements of E/e-mark are mainly the electromagnetic compatibility requirements of the product. For E-mark, the regulation is ECE 10.02 and the e-mark is 95/54/EC. The technical requirement  of the two types are basically the same, and the near field (1m test distance) of electromagnetic disturbance of the whole vehicle or vehicle components is required to meet the limits of the broadband and narrowband respectively. At the same time, the components related to vehicle travel control meet the anti-jamming requirements of electromagnetic radiation.
         From January 2006, e-mark's new Directive 2004/104/EC will replace 95/54/EC. The new directive imposes the same restrictions on electromagnetic interference as the old one, but it defines and extends the functional scope of products that require immunity testing.
